(The secret panel at Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is pretty damn funny, too.)
A comic of six panels:
A red-headed son approaches his balding father.
Son: Dad, what’s the difference between love and infatuation?
Father: When you love someone, you don’t feel the need to think of them constantly, but you’re always happy when you do.
Father: When you love someone, their flaws become something you laugh about, rather than something you pretend doesn’t exist.
Father: When you’re in love, you see someone as an equal, not an idol.
Son (indignant): That’s what I thought.
The following Sunday The son sits at a desk in a classroom with a few other children, his hand raised. A nun with a piece of chalk in her hand has her back to them, as though she is leading a lesson at the chalkboard. Her facial expression appears startled.
Son (to the nun): Actually, you’re just infatuated with Jesus.
